About the Role

As a key member of the CEO’s executive leadership team, the Vice President of Operations will be responsible for driving strategy, policy, carrying-out strategic initiatives, and financial/non-financial goals. Leveraging innovative approaches to business development, technical integration, and strategic planning, the candidate will introduce sustainable solutions for operating in the federal government and government affairs space. Collaboration with diverse teams is essential to align operational strategies with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with internal and external project partners.

  • Oversee relationships, reporting, and communications with entities such points of contact.

  • Handle complex inter-team dependencies and bridge gaps in technical system management.

  • Lead project planning, milestone definition, and allocation of financial resources.

  • Create, track, and drive the critical path, managing risks, dependencies, and decisions affecting the project.

  • Communicate project successes, schedules, priorities, issues, and overall health to all levels in the company.

  • Manage project spending, capitalization, and tax credit reporting.

  • Create and distribute impactful automated reporting.

  • Champion customer-centric approaches to design educational experiences.

  • Lead a strong team, defining project structure, partnerships, and overall pedagogy of programming.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of technical project management experience.

  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and global manufacturing practices.

  • Experience with grant accounting and financial management, particularly related to government grants.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong leadership, and analytical abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's degree (Master’s or Ph.D. degree a plus)


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in leadership.

  • Strong skills in corporate policy, operations, strategy, and growth.

  • Global defense and security mission customer experience.

  • Experience managing programs and P&L over $20-40M in revenue.

  • Experience building and scaling teams and systems.

  • Extensive knowledge supporting the development of large-scale projects and deliverables.

  • Government an or federal consulting experience .

  • Experience working with senior-level executives.

  • Experience cultivating external partnerships across the federal government and industry.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications.
